Coat Shopping

Today my mom and I went coat shopping for Olivia and it was so much fun. I can't believe it's already that time of year where we are starting to think about getting all bundled up. We found the cutest coat and I was so sad when it was WAY to big for her. I ended up finding a cute pink coat and she looks adorable in it. I must say I'm so lucky to have such a great baby, she's always smiling.

21 Weeks

A lot has been happening, Olivia is 21 weeks and is such an adorable baby. She had her 4 month check up and we got the ok to start feeding Olivia baby food. It's been a lot of fun introducing her to knew food. I know everyone says this about their kids but Olivia is so smart. She has been sitting up since she was 14 weeks old and she rolled over for the first time last night. She has also been standing next to her bouncer and she's able to hold on by her self. I can't believe she is growing up so fast, I wouldn't mind if it slowed down just a bit. Tyler and I are proud parents.

2 month Check up

Olivia went to the Dr.'s about a week ago for her two-month check up. She is getting so big and Dr. Johnson couldn't believe how happy and strong she was. Her stats were Height: 23.1", weight: 11.5 and her head was 14.6. She's in the 80% for her height, 75% for her weight and 15% for her head. She for sure got her dad's head, super small! She also got her first set of vaccines which she was a little trooper about. She did a lot better then I did, I left the doctors office pretty much in tears and she was looking at me like why are you crying. I can't believe two months have gone by, they go so fast and I just want it to slow down.
Pictures to come

6 weeks old

Alot has been going on in the last couple of weeks. Olivia is getting so big so fast, she's sleeping better through the night, waking up only one time (usually) around 3:00 and again at 6:00. I have to say she's been such a great addition to our family and I really can't remember what it was like without her. It's amazing how you have so much love for something so small.
Two weekends ago we got Olivia Baptized and it went really well, she slept through the whole thing :).We chose my mom and dad as her godparents. My mom and dad are such a huge part of our lives and I know they will guide Olivia in the right direction. I love that my parents are so young, Catholics believe that if something were to happen to the parents then the godparents would step in and raise the kids. Tyler and I couldn't think of anyone better than my mom and dad. My parents are such great people and have so much love for all the grand kids. I am so lucky to have them not only has my parents but as my best friends. We baptised Olivia at St. Vincent De Paul, we absoluetly love our parish. We have an amazing deacon, his name is deacon John and he loves Tyler. Tyler was baptised during easter and became friends with just about everyone in the parish, so we've decided to stay. After Olivia's baptism we had a little reception over at my parents house, which was a lot of fun. I love being around family. I must say Tyler and I feel so blessed to have such great people in our lives and we know we couldn't do it without everyone. So thank you to everyone who was able to come. Here are some pictures of her getting baptized.

Also, this last week or so Olivia has started laughing more and smiling all the time. Every morning when I go into her room she looks up and has the biggest smile on her face. Tyler and I laugh because we are NOT morning people, so to have a baby who is so happy in the morning is refreshing. She is also getting a lot stronger, she's holding up her head when you put her on the ground (for only a few minutes) or on your stomach. She's also starting to act like she wants to roll over.  But here are some pictures my mom and I have been taking the last couple of days.

Two week check-up

We had Olivia's two week Dr. appointment this week and it went really well.We got such a great Dr. thanks to Casey and Annie. When Casey and Annie went out of town I took Brooklyn to the Dr. and I liked him so much I decided Olivia had to have him. Thank goodness he was taking patients. Olivia has gained 1 pound, she now weighs 8 lbs 3 oz , 21 inches long and her head was 13 inches. I can't believe in two weeks how much she has grown. The Dr. said she was a healthy baby and to have to worries. It was super nice to hear that, I've found out real fast how paranoid I am. We have our next appointment in June and that's when she will get all of her vaccines. Not looking forward to that.

Olivia Michelle Raleigh

Olivia is finally here! On April 12 at 3:00 am I woke up with a weird pain in my back, not thinking anything of it I tried to go back to bed. At 3:20 I realized this could be labor pains. I sat up grabbed my stop clock and started timing these "weird pains" I quickly realized these were contractions that were 5 minutes apart. Tyler woke up at 3:40 and said "babe what are you doing"? I said I don't know for sure but I might be in labor just go back to bed and I will let you know. I got out of bed and started pacing around in the basement. Tyler thankfully came out and said I can't sleep. I told him the contractions were 2 minutes apart and I think we needed to go to the hospital. Once I said that I got super scared and didn't want to go to the hospital and get sent home, so of course I ran up stairs got my mom and told her the pain I was feeling. She took one look at me and said get to the hospital. We grabbed our bags and out the door we went. When we got to the hospital the nice nurse said please tell me you registered. I looked at Tyler and we said no, were we suppose to? So we sat at the registering desk for like 5 minutes but let me tell you what it felt like hours. I was put in a post labor room at 4:20 and was checked, once I was checked I was moved into my labor room. The nurse asked are you ready for a epidural, or would you like to wait for about an hour? I looked at Tyler and he said "it looks like you're doing well" which means lets wait. I said I'll wait and as soon as the nurse walked out I thought. ARE YOU CRAZY! Tyler being a great husband got the nurse and told her I wanted it and thank god because it was getting worse. You always here horror stories of epidurals, You here how painful they are and how it's the worse part of the whole thing. I totally disagree. It didn't hurt at all and it was the easiest part of the whole labor. I couldn't believe the difference once I got the epidural, I was super happy and wanted to chat to my family. My Mom, Dad and Tyler were at the hospital with me which made the process so much fun. I was check at 7:00 am and I was dilated to a 4 and was 90% effaced by 8:00 I was dilated to an 8 and 90% effaced and by 9:30 I was dilated to a 10 and 100% effaced. It happened so fast. My Dr. was completely shocked, he looked at me and said well it looks like were going to start pushing. Tyler happened to be on the phone while I was getting checked to the front desk. The lady need more information. I looked up at Tyler and said "get off the phone, were going to start pushing". His face was priceless. I pushed for one hour and our little girl was born. She was born at 10:28, she was 7lbs 11 oz and 20 in long. Tlyer and I both feel so blessed to have such an amazing gift. She already is such a great baby, she's super mellow and has brought so much joy in our lives.

My 4th Photo

Britt tagged me to put up my 4th photo and here is it.

I love this picture of Brooklyn. This was the 4th of July and she really didn't like how loud the fireworks were.
